We had a great start last night for the 6s, 7s & 8s...
All the various Academy groups are filling up quickly so sign up ASAP if you want to be part of the development academy program...
unfortunately the electrical storm and rain interrupted the next two sessions....
We have now booked Charlestown Indoor Sports Centre for Wednesdays as a wet weather backup plan starting from 4 to 6pm....Session 1 group will go from 4pm to 5pm... Session 2 group will go from 5pm to 6pm... can't go any later due to centre starting there normal nights activities.... Session 3 group I am still looking for a wet weather venue...
All Development Academy registrations needs to be completed this Wednesday (12/3/14) as Michelle will be down to complete registration, payments and uniforms once more...Michelle has to process 200 players for the Development Academy so please help out by communicating with her if you are struggling with money (payment plan can be set up)....
Please bring your own ball and water bottle for the next two weeks while the Academy yellow Nike balls are coming in from our supplier....
Next week we will be breaking up all the groups into Defensive, Midfield, Strikers, so we can target teach them skills relevant for their weekend positions.... Guest coaches will run the sessions with the assistance from our Academy Coaches.....

Pacific Challenge Cup
Valentine Phoenix FC are very excited to announce the inaugural Pacific Challenge Cup - an all girl’s & women’s football tournament on 15-16 March 2014 at the Valentine Phoenix Complex, Croudace Bay NSW.
The tournament is proudly hosted by the Valentine Phoenix Football Club in co-operation with Northern NSW Football.
The age groups are G12, G14, G16, G18 and OPEN. The format is a 6-a-side competition with a minimum of six 30 minute games played per team over the two days.
The focus of the tournament is on participation with a round robin competition, and where every team plays in a final. The overall champions for each age group will be determined by the highest ranked final winners. The winner of each age group will receive $300 prize money and the runners-up $100.
Each player will receive a free Pacific Challenge Cup tournament boot bag. This will be an ideal 'pre- season' event for your girls and women’s teams.

Pacific Challenge Cup Update
1. TEAM NOMINATIONS:
Please click here to download the team nomination form.
Team nominations will commence from Monday the 20th January and will close 9th March 2014. A team nomination fee of $300 is required. (U12 / U14 / U16 nomination fee $150) The team nomination form provides details of payment.
Team nominations will close at 40 registered teams. To be eligible the PCC committee must have received payment and the team sheet, as well as 6 registered players completed on MFC.
2. PLAYER REGISTRATIONS:
Players can register through the ‘my football club’ system (www.myfootballclub.com.au) .
Player registrations will open on Monday 3rd February and close Friday 7th March 2014.
Unregistered players (players who did not play in the 2013 season), will be required to pay an insurance fee – maximum of $20 per player, depending on age.
Select – Valentine (Pacific Challenge Cup) for registration.
3. TOURNAMENT RULES:

Valentine Women’s Football
We still have a few positions available in our U/14 Girls team for the 2014 season. The team will play in the Girls Inter-district A Grade competition each Sunday morning.

Valentine Eleebana Football Club is delighted to announce Stephen Gillard, Principal Physiotherapist at Broadmeadow Physiotherapy is continuing as a club sponsor for season 2012.
The clinic is uniquely located in the Broadmeadow Medical Centre which allows special opportunities including direct referral to an on site Sports Medicine Doctor. According to Stephen: "We have professional associations allowing us prompt appointments with orthopedic surgeons for serious injuries, and ready access to bulk billing x-rays.
